All volunteers must attend an orientation training before they are able to view and sign up for any available opportunities at Florida Children's Museum. Orientation happens twice a month on Friday afternoon from 3:30pm - 4:30pm and on Saturday morning from 11am - 12pm. YOU MUST SIGN UP BEFORE DAY OF EVENT.
What to Expect:
All orientations will include an in-depth overview of the Museum's docent/volunteer manual and policies, a tour of the museum, basic scheduling and hour log procedure overview, and a safety training. Additionally, tips and tricks for working with children and families will be covered. This is a time for you to ask any and all questions you may have, and to make sure you understand and are comfortable with the program guidelines.
